Part of the great strength of Chinese medicine lies in the way it treats each of us as an individual. This is achieved through a one-on-one consultation with a practitioner.
At Sen, we offer
consultations with our expert
Chinese medicine consultants. After talking with
you, the Consultant will prepare a personalised
treatment for you, individually tailored
to suit your particular needs. This may include
a herbal prescription, acupuncture, or one of
our classical formulae products.
Apart from consultations, our product range is available in two main categories: the liquid health bar, and the classical formulae tablets.
liquid health bar
The liquid health bar gives you the opportunity to get to know tcm through a variety of delicious, healthy drinks. We have a range of 23 drinks, all of which are based on authentic tcm herbal formulae. We also have a variety of seasonal specials. The drinks are broken down into four categories: Body Mind and Spirit, and Changing Seasons.
classical formulae
'Changing seasons' is also one of the categories of our Classical Formulae tablet range. This is because many of the formulae in the Changing Seasons category are available in both tablet and liquid form; their function is the same.
The tablet range is made up of 33 classical formulae. Together, they represent the great wealth of Chinese healthcare expertise.
Classical Chinese herbal formulae have been used for thousands of years. Traditionally, Chinese herbs came in dried form and needed to be boiled for many hours to release their active components. In recent years it has become easier to extract these active components, using entirely natural processes. So the herbs are now made into more palatable and convenient powders and tablets, which are concentrated to ensure potency.
The formulae contain a number of herbs, each of which has its own unique range of properties.
Combining different types of herb, in different quantities, allows the formulae to target and treat your symptoms, and your underlying condition, in the most effective way.
